NAMS In Atlanta: Great Networking & Even Greater Fun

David Perdew invited me to be part of NAMS faculty and teach in Atlanta. Arrived Thursday afternoon, in time for convivial cocktails and then whisked off to a restaurant by the rowdiest women at the event. THe next day, it was time to work – but what a pleasure with such a great crowd. Unfortunately, I never brought my camera out once, so I have to rely on other people’s photos.

Here’s the panel where five of us were interviewwed on social marketing by David, and the whole interview was turned into a product that same day. Left to right, there’s Jeff Herring, Maritza Parra, myself, Willie Crawford, and Joey Smith. The best part of all was that Rafael Sanchez from Venezuela had his first ever sale on the Internet, and he followed it with a ton more – to win the competition for most sales over the weekend. What a great way to get started in IM.

Met so many great people here, I can’t find all their pictures, so I’ll not risk leaving out anybody – by merely sending you to the NAMS Flickr images. Click here to see those.

I must introduce you to Magic Myke. I want to steal him away. What a bright guy this is and a really fun dude to hang out with.

And, here comes trouble. I was led astray numerous times by Lynn Terry’s daughter Annie and the British/Cajun troublemaker Aileen Bennett. Any rumours of me causing trouble are horribly false. I am quiet, innocent, reserved, a little shy ;-)

Kevin – it was great to meet you! Love that picture of you with Annie and Aileen! I could tell you all were the 3 Muskateers all weekend and no doubt Scrabble champions by Monday. ;)

Hope to see you again at NAMS4.

I had a great time. Loved meeting everybody and thoroughly enjoyed being on panels and doing presentations. Would love to be at NAMS 4, but I’m in Switzerland in September. Not sure the girls could stand us being away that long.

  • Kevin,

Nice pic man. I had heard you can really clean up when you wanted to. Is that hair *gasped* brushed!? :)

  • Mary says:

Hey Kevin, your post is fun. I like your accent – it’s a bit Irish maybe? I listened to your mini-money factory video last night. Mesmerizing kind of voice. Hope to connect again soon…cheers…Mary

    Hey Kevin -

Hands off Magic Mike! It took me about 2 days to steal him from Lynn Terry. And I’m threatening to chain him up in my basement until the next NAMS!

So glad you could come and so disappointed we didn’t spend more time together. Next time, you’ll have to come home with me for a few days :)

    Thanks again.

Brush? What in blazes is that? I did however run fingers through my hair and look a wee bit more presentable.

My voice tends to change. I do pick up a little Irish or British quite easily when talking with anyone from those islands. I call it my chameleon accent.

I would like that. Seen your beautiful log home before and never been to Alabama.

Kevin, It was great meeting you and learning from you at NAMS. That photo of you, Annie and Aileen is one of my favorites. I get a kick that so many others have used it too!

I’ve added this post to my collection of NAMS blogs at http://www.Website-ROI-Guy.com

Enjoyed being there. Wish it wasn’t such a long flight so I could do it more often.

  • Dear Quiet, Shy, and Reserved – I’m so sorry that I missed meeting you. I’m totally bummed about it. Over here (not far at all from me!) two times and I miss ya! I’m glad to hear you had such a great time, even if Aileen and Annie did infect you with troublemakeritis. How horrible of them! ;)
